Your Mid-Year Action Steps

Dear Sister Founder

As we stride into July, it's the perfect moment to pause, reflect on the first half of 2025, and refocus our energy for the months ahead.

Halfway through the year, it's time to recalibrate – not just so we stay on track, but so we step TRUE to our vision, purpose, and power as Black women entrepreneurs.

Reflect with Compassion

Take a moment to hold space for yourself—acknowledge wins, lessons, even the challenges you’ve faced.

Maybe you:

  • Launched a product or service that sparked connection.

  • Stepped into a new role or pivoted in your business.

  • Stared down a fear — from pricing to imperfect launches.

Holding space matters. As I wrote in our last edition about money trauma, “That hesitation to raise prices? Not self‑doubt—it’s a protective reflex…from being denied or undervalued too often”.

Our reflections aren't just metrics—they reveal how we've grown, and where ancestral resilience lives in us. Make mid-year reflection part of your journaling process today!

Heal & Rewire

Mid‑year is also a powerful time to release what's holding you back. Whether it's imposter syndrome, money anxiety, or exhaustion, give yourself:

  • Ritual resets – meditate, journal, take intentional pauses, add new rituals or revive ones that have served you well in the past.

  • Circle healing – reach out to your community or find a mentor/coach. Invest time in finding a like-minded community that feeds your heart and soul.

  • Money reconnection – revisit pricing strategy, start affirmations, or explore financial frameworks tailored for Black women founders (like saving for a goal or using personal credit wisely, as many of us do).

Remember: our lineage is rich with rituals for healing and growth. And connection replenishes us and prepares us for strategic action.

Realign & Plan Boldly

Now let’s dream AND map the path forward. Ask yourself:

  • What’s my financial north star? Annual revenue? Profit margin? Time earned back?

  • Where is opportunity knocking? New markets, collaborations, product extensions?

  • What growth feels exciting—not exhausting? Is it hiring, automating, content creation?

Lean on data, intuition, and the wisdom of your village. If Black women-owned businesses now represent 10% of U.S. small business ownership, we’re not only part of a movement—we’re catalysts.

Take Tactical Steps

Take steps to turn vision into reality for Q3–Q4:

Focus Area - Mid-Year Action

Finances - Update financial goals, consider small increases or a package raise.

Offerings - Refresh messaging or test a new service inside your signature offer.

Community - Host a virtual event, join a new mastermind, or deepen mentorship ties.

Radical Self-Love - Schedule monthly soul-nourishing breaks (yes, vacations count!).

Remember: Action builds confidence—and confidence builds momentum.

Celebrate with Intention

Before we lean into the next chapter, let's hold space to celebrate—whether solo or with your community. These celebrations fuel mindset, magnetize opportunity, and attract the resources we need.

  • Share your journey: Tell your followers, clients, and network what you’ve done—and where you're headed.

  • Show horizontal love: Highlight a fellow Black woman founder you admire and share what makes her shine.

Our communal uplift is how we continue to break ceilings and build legacies.

There is nothing I find more powerful than Sisterhood encouragement and support!

Final Encouragement

Sisters: healing + strategy + celebration is the trifecta of sustainable growth. Let healing be the medicine, strategy be the map, and celebration be the fuel. The second half of 2025 is ours to own—with intention, resilience, and sisterhood.

As a resource, I invite you to join the Black Women Blooming group where we gather every 2nd and 4th Wednesday to elevate ourselves with all things related to Radical Self-Love for Black women founders.

Here’s to the path ahead:

  • A quarter marked by boundary-setting—and margin-building.

  • A heart aligned with purpose—and rest.

  • A vision championed by community—and seen in the mirror.

With all my admiration and solidarity,

~Linette
